My LO (little one) takes forever to drink 2 oz.  By mistake she got a medium flow nipple and drank 4 oz in less than 20 min.  None dribbled out the sides or anything.  We wree so happy.  But yesterday her reflux seemed bad and she was cranky and fussy...like a belly ache maybe and reflux.

What to I do?  she isnt eating enough w the level 1 nipple and seemed fine with level 2 but God I dont want her to get worse

I definitely noticed reflux flaring when the nipple flow was increased... that is why we never made it past a stage 2 flow....  what bottle system are you using?  Some only have 2-3 stages, which was too far of a jump for DD....

I use Dr Brown bottles.  She is 9 weeks old but seriously it takes 45 min sometimes to get 2 oz in her.  I feel like she gives up.  She does not eat enough.  When I saw her take 4oz and smile I was sooo happy but then ya she was uncomfortable and spit up a couple times thru the day which is doesnt usually throw up cuz she is a silent fluxer.

I was thinking of trying the medium flow for another day or two to see if she adjusts.  The slow flow is just too slow and she is probably getting half the amt of oz she should at this age.

We are still on stage 1, but the evenflow brand. Funny enough though, some stage 1s are faster than others. With a faster flow I always burp DS (dear son) like every 2 oz. We used gas drops all the time anyway though....man we had one bottle brand that took DS (dear son) 30 MINUTES to drink 2oz. Ridiculous...he had no gas or spit up but an hour at NIGHT to feed him? No thanks. We switched to Evenflo Classic glass bottles with silicone covers and used the slow flow, and he did fine.
